Somos una Asociación educativa afiliada a una red mundial de pedagogos musicales y funcionamos como una organización sin fines de lucro en el Perú desde hace 25 años.

Los más de 100 miembros a nivel nacional trabajamos juntos siguiendo los nobles ideales del gran maestro Shinichi Suzuki: dedicamos nuestros esfuerzos a lograr la formación integral de niños y jóvenes de todo el país a través de la educación temprana y la música.

Método Suzuki

 

El sueño del Dr. Suzuki no era crear grandes músicos, sino mejores seres humanos.

Desarrolló su filosofía a partir de la idea de que todos los niños nacen con un gran potencial y todos son capaces de aprender a tocar un instrumento si es que se les rodea de un ambiente musical, así como para aprender hablar están rodeado de su idioma. Por eso, el Método Suzuki resalta en el proceso educativo:

- El aprendizaje debe ser natural, como cuando se aprende la lengua materna: primero aprendemos a escuchar, luego a hablar, después a leer y finalmente a escribir.
- El valor de cada pequeño avance y la importancia de las habilidades y capacidades que el niño desarrolla con cada paso.
- Asignar tareas que estén a la altura de lo que el alumno puede hacer, para que siempre tenga éxito. El éxito es fuente de motivación y fortalece el autoestima.
- Enseñar sin presiones, a cada niño a su propio ritmo, sin competencias.

The Suzuki Association of Peru
We are an educational non-profit organization that has been operating in Peru for over 25 years, linked to a world-wide network of music teachers.

The more than 100 members nationwide work together towards turning Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's ideals into reality. Our efforts are dedicated to enrich the lives of babies, children and the youth of our country, through early education and music.

 

Dr. Suzuki's dream was not to create great musicians but to raise better human beings.

He developed his philosophy based on the idea that every child is born with a great potential and that every one of them is capable of learning an instrument if they are surrounded with an adecuate musical environment, the same way they are surrounded by words when they are learning to speak. For this reason, the Suzuki Method emphasizes the following aspects in the learning process:

• Learning should come naturally, as it does when we learn our mother tongue: first we listen, then we speak, later we read and finally we learn to write.
• The value of every little step and the importance of the new technique and abilities the child develops in each one.
• Homework should be asigned according to the child's abilities. Success is motivating and strengthens the student's self-esteem.
• Teach without pressure. Every child learns at a different pace. There should be no competition.
  

Conciertos Mensuales / Monthly Recitals

Cada recital es una oportunidad para el Alumno Suzuki de pararse en un escenario y compartir con otros alumnos de su instrumento y alumnos de otros intrumentos.
// Every recital is an opportunity for our students to stand in front of an audience and meet other fellow students, in their and other instruments.

 

Conciertos de Graduación / Graduation Concerts

Una vez al año se presentan los alumnos de cuerdas y vientos a la graduación por niveles.
A partir de 2010 presentaremos también la graduación de alumnos de piano, en un concierto separado.

// Every year we hold a graduation for our string and wind instrument students.

Starting in 2010, there will also be a graduation concert for our piano students.

 

Cursos de Capacitación para Profesores / Teacher Training

• Todos los meses de Enero se realiza el Festival Internacional Suzuki de Música en Lima, donde participan músicos y profesores de todo el Perú y Latinoamérica. Ir a Festival
  // Every January we organize the International Suzuki Festival in Lima, which brings together teachers from all over Peru and Latin America. Go to Festival
• Dos veces al año se lleva a cabo el Taller Nacional Suzuki, una vez en provincia y la segunda vez en Lima. Los talleres en provincia tienen como propósito llevar la Filosofía Suzuki por todo el Perú y compartir con profesores que nunca han tenido la oportunidad de venir a Lima para un Festival. El taller en Lima es una introducción a los cursos base que se dictan en el Festival.
  //Twice a year we there's a National Suzuki Workshop. The first one, in a chosen province, has the purpose to take the Suzuki Philosophy to every town in the country. The second, held in Lima, is an introduction to the courses offered during the following Festival.

Publicaciones / Publications

• La Asociación Suzuki del Perú publica anualmente su revista Ensamble. Son 3,000 ejemplares que se reparten a instituciones educativas a nivel nacional, así a como profesores, padres de familia y empresas privadas que nos ayudan y son parte de la gran familia Suzuki del Perú.
  // Our yearly publication is called Ensamle. It's latest edition covered the preparation for the 25th Suzuki Festival and the next one, out this year, will cover the 1st Suzuki Student Orchestra in Latin America.
